Michael Myers (also known as The Shape) is the main antagonist in the Halloween films. He was created by John Carpenter and Debra Hill for the 1978 film Halloween. He has appeared in six films, four of which are considered canonical.
In his first appearance, Michael Myers murders his sister Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) on Halloween night after she accidentally breaks his window with a baseball bat. He then disposes of her body at the local morgue and travels to Haddonfield, Illinois where he stalks and kills several teenagers, including Laurie's friends Will (Donald Pleasence) and Lynda (Marilyn Ryan). Despite his efforts, however, he is never able to kill anyone who knows him — including Dr. Loomis (Donald Pleasence), who tracks him down on October 31 every year.
