There seems to be a confusion with the Boeing model designation. Air Canada never had Boeing 767-38E(ER) in their fleet. They did operate Boeing 767-300ER (sometimes referred to as 763) which is a long-range, wide-body jet airliner. It can seat more passengers and fly farther than the base Boeing 767-200 model due to an extended fuselage and increased fuel capacity.
