1968 California Special Mustang Gt-cs Information
In 1968, Ford unveiled a limited-edition muscle car to rival the Shelby Mustang GT500 KR: the California Special Mustang GT-CS. This two-door fastback, featuring a fiberglass body on a steel chassis, was the brainchild of designer Larry Shinoda. Debuting in 1968, the GT-CS was exclusive to California and limited to a production run of 4,099 units. Offered in an array of colors like black, white, blue, and red, it also boasted optional features like a power top, windows, and seats. Though production ceased in 1968, the California Special Mustang GT-CS remains a coveted classic muscle car to this day.
